Cassette compatibility
- Do you have a Shimano 8, 9, 10, 11, or 12-speed road bike, or a SRAM 8, 9, or 10-speed road bike? Please select one of our Shimano cassettes.
- Do you have a SRAM 11/12-speed road bike? Please select our TrueTrainer XD-R freehub.
- It’s important to note that SRAM 11/12-speed road bikes and cassettes are not compatible with Shimano cassettes or freehubs. Therefore, you will need an XD-R freehub to use the TrueTrainer.

I just got the TrueTrainer for little over a week now. It feels just like outdoor cycling. I particularly love that the TrueTrainer moves while cycling, it feels much more natural and my knee doesn’t hurt as much as with other trainers. Virtual Gears is very useful and easy to change your ‘cassette’s sprockets’ digitally if you want to ride the hilly routes in Zwift for someone who is not very handy. The trainer connects instantenously with Zwift but also with my garmin watch, so you can also do workouts without Zwift. I highly recommend this trainer, also for beginners like me.
